The BEAT Film Festival is the largest documentary film festival in Russia, presenting major international titles with a strong audience appeal, innovative works experimenting with art and hybrid forms, and brand new voices from young Russian and European cinema. Beat Film Festival celebrates the work of emerging filmmakers as well as the films of prominent directors, bringing them to a Russian audience.
Lisa Sivakova was a member of the festival team from 2014 to 2019, during which time she was executive producer of 5 editions of the festival, curated several VR-exhibitions, regional programs and worked as the art director and designer for some of the festival's projects.
BEAT festival also hosts offbeat events combining film with music, art, and education, and has featured liveperformances by artists such as LCD Soundsystem and Diplo.
